Extraordinary Lives - Extraordinary Archives: Friday 14 November
We are excited to announce that this year we are taking part in the TNA event 'Explore your Archive Week' which runs from 10-16 November.
Extraordinary Lives - Extraordinary Archives will mark the occasion on Friday 14 November with an open day event to enable you to discover the stories, facts and places that are at the heart of our wonderful Wiltshire communities. The day will include a set of four free 30 minute lunchtime drop-in talks from 12pm (on a first come, first served basis so get here early!) and an exhibition of archives in the Local Studies area, 9.30am-5pm.
It will be a fantastic chance to get closer to the lives of some Wiltshire's people through the documents they left behind and the stories they tell, from the surrender of Wardour Castle in the Civil War to the poetry and poverty of Alfred and Mary Williams. They will inspire you to look further - you'll be amazed at what you can uncover.
We warmly welcome you to explore your archive!
