Ben Kane is a historical fiction novelist best known for The Forgotten Legion, Silver Eagle, Road to Rome and Hannibal Enemy of Rome, which reached number 4 in the Sunday Times best seller list.
Ruth Downie is best known for her series of novels featuring 'reluctant sleuth' Gaius Petreius Ruso. Number six in the series, and her most recent Ruso mystery, is Tabula Rasa, published October 2014.
M.C. Scott is crime fiction writer, writing both historical and comtemporary thrillers, nominated for the Edgar Award for Best Novel, and shortlisted for Orange Prize. The Boudica series are her first historical novels.
