IN the name of God Amen the last will and Testament of George Beverstosk the Elder of the parish of Bradford in the Countie of willts Broad weaver made and ordained the 11th day of January 1688 in manor and form folowing Viz (namely) principaly I give my Soule into the hands of Almightie God hoping Ashuredly to mherit Eternall Life thoro the only merits of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour to home be Glorie and Honor for Ever Amen and as Conserning my goods lent me in this world I dispose of it as foloweth Itim I Give to Thomas Hall my Son in law for the Afection I beare to him the 2 Lombes in his Shop and 3 of my midling Sort of milch Cowes he the said Thomas Hall is to take up A band [bond] of fuife pound or to discharg my wife of it before he tackes to the 3 Cowes Itim I Give to my dafter Mary Hall and my dafter Sarah Beverstock one halfe of my instore Goodes to be eqaly devided Betwene the said Mary Hall and Sarah Beverstock Itim I Give more to my dafter Sarah Beverstock fower milch cows Itim I Give the other halfe of my instore Goods to my well Beloved wife Elizabeth for and duering her naturall Life and after her deseas I give it to my dafter Mary and my dafter Sarah to be Eqally devided betwene them as above menshoned Itim I Give to my Son Richard Beverstock Tenn Shep Itim I Give to my Son George the sum of one sheling Itim I Give to my son Joseph the sum of one sheling Itim I Give to my son William the sum of one sheling Itim I Give to my dafter Elizabeth oackly the sum of one sheling Itim I Give to my granchild Elizabeth dweling in my house 0 5s - 0 Itim I Give to Sarah my granchild dweling in my hous - - - fiufe shelings Itim I Give to John my granson dweling in my hou[seho]ld - - - fiufe shelings Itim I Give my son John his 2 cheldren borne since he went out of the Parish of Bradford one sheling apece Itim It is my will that what my wife doth Leave of what I have left her shall be Eqaly after her deseas devided Betwene Mary Hall and Sarah Beverstock Exept fourtieshelings wich shall be at my wife Elazabeth her disposall and that the said mary Hall and Sarah Beverstock Equaly beare the cost of her feunerall and lastly all the rest and residue of my inheritance whatsoever and also all my Goods on disposed of and chatels rights and credits whatsoever I give unto my well Beloved wife Elizabeth and her doth I macke And ordaine my full and soull Executrix of this my last will and Testament only it must what her doth leave depts being discharged returne after her the said Elizabeth my wife her desease to Mary Hall and Sarah Beverstock to be eqaly devided betwene them I doe nominate and Apoynt my trusties and well belovd freinds Mr William Druce Rich Grant to be trustes of this my last will to see all things performed heare in and owing to the true intent and meaning heareof Signed sealed published and declared by me the said George Beverstock as his only last will and Testamentthe markeof George Beverstock [with seal] in the presenc of us Richard Godby John Plurrett the marke I H of John Houlshot
